Goodbye for now

I’ve used Tumblr since mid-2007, about eight months ago. Increasingly, I’ve used Tumblr to collect content created by other people. That was cool for a while, but it’s now approaching mid-2008 and I no longer enjoy it.

Here are other tumblelogs I’ve enjoyed: benjaminf, alexa, marybethsc, and zehnuhr. I also like Stilgherrian’s blog.

On that note, I’ll see you later — either later this year, or next year.

Victorian DPI: Predatory Birds This Victorian State Government website describes the problems caused by ‘the Australian Raven’ (crow). “[… The] Australian Raven and the Little Raven are frequently blamed for losses of young lambs and kids.” It even gives a solution: “Identify the cause of death of lambs or kids and assess their viability prior to death.” Link found via Wikipedia.

Urban Dictionary: Props “Slang term for “accolades”, “proper respect”, or “just dues”. Popularized in the 1980s by rappers who shortened the term “propers” which was in turn being used as an abbreviated version of “proper respect” at least by the 1960s.”

I had no idea of the history of giving people props.
